Leicester 22/5/2010 - Arriva, First, CentreBus and Kinch
Thanks for your comment Martin. It will be interesting to see where former London bendy buses end up. I think that P+R and student services will be ideal. Don't forget the Craven bodied RTs and DMSes that ran happily in other towns after London had kicked them out.
Something that may be of interest to you: The Arriva bus you've taken a picture of, route 80, has moved from inside the bus station to the outside because they are due to be trialling an ex-London Citaro Arctic on the route soon! They may already be using it, not 100% sure, but that is it's reason for moving! Well worth a visit in the future!
I have just returned from holiday in Malta and although I did not see any I understand some at least of the ex London artics have ended up there. I was told that one had been seen on driver training but cannot verify this. Incidentally Arriva have recruited many drivers for their new services including a first for Malta of 17 ladies. They are apparently still short of the total number required
Having recently returned from a holiday in Malta although I did not see them I understand Arriva have shipped some Artics there. I was told that one had been seen on driver training but cannot verify this. Incidentally, whilst still being short of recruits for July 7th I was told of a first for Malta of 17 ladies to drive there.
